One of the biggest problems for new internet marketers is getting targeted traffic to their websites. Many of them will use traffic generating methods thst either don't send them any traffic at all or will send them un-targeted traffic that is nearly as bad as no traffic at all. Get Links on Authority Sites

Post an Ad on Craigslist. This may not get you loads of traffic but it will get your site indexd and listed on the major search engines quickly. Post your link in Wikipedia. You will need to add an account and post your link to an appropriate section.

Join Forums

Making good comments on forums can bring you loads of traffic. Just make sure that your comments are relevent to the discussion at hamd. You can add a signature file that points back to your website. If people on the forum see that you are someone who knows what he is talking about they will visit your site. At a minimum you will get a link back to your site. However, please do not spam the forums. Some of the major forums have high page ramk and will help you greatly in the search engines.

Write Articles

Writing articles and posting then to the various article directories can be a serious source of traffic. It will take a little research on your part to write these article but the rewards for you will be great. When you send you aricles to the all the article directories for publishing, make sure that you add a resource box with a link pointing back to you website.

Submitting to Directories

This probably the most boring chore you will have as a internet marketer. However, it can be one of the most important peices to building a solid business. These directories will send traffic to your website and build you backlinks. You can link to most of them for free.
